Signed contracts for 17 new Health Care Units - Oman
On September the 9 th , during a ceremony, the Omani Ministry of Health Directorate General of Engineering Affairs has officially appointed the Joint Venture of ZAWAYA Design & Engineering Consultancy (JV leader) and 3TI PROGETTI Engineering Consultants LCC, together with Hill International to provide the design and the supervision of 17 new Health Care Units in the eight Governorates.
The contract has been awarded for a total sum of € 2.111.608,038: € 401.756,638 for the design services and € 1.709.851,400 for the Supervision Stage.
The design for the new Primary Health Care Units (which arise in cities Qairon Hariti, Al-Hamra, Mjis, Ghail al-Shibool, North Ibra, Al-Hazim, Al-Buraimi, Al-Diriz, Maabelah, Al-Mahaj, Sur Al-Baloush, Mukheilif, Somhan, Jalan Bani Bu Ali, Nizwa, Dhamar and Al-Hussailah), identifies a design methodology that can be easily applied for all the different contexts and allows to reach very high levels of energy performance, environmental sustainability and comfort.
Two different typologies of units, serving a population of 5.000 – 10.000 people or more than 10.000, have the same 'architectural guidelines', which can be adapted to every single site, in order to have different designs, appropriately integrated according to all the specific surrounding conditions.
