Pinelli Secondary School, Rome - Italy
Intervention of extraordinary maintenance
CLIENT: City of Rome
VALUE: € 490,000.00
The intervention consists in the extraordinary maintenance of the “Pinelli” secondary school, foreseen to significantly redefine the building structure, requalyfing and reconverting it. Therefore, the interventions carried out involve different aspects, from plant engineering to structural apects. Moreover, the school presented a series of unutilized rooms that have been restored through the floor static strengthening with steel beams to place under the existing one, the assessment and replacement of the systems, the repairing of the internal finishes and the placement of new frames. Due to the precarious preservation of many parts, with the risk of sudden detachments that have led until now to various partial, local and not resolutory interventions, a global rebuilding of the plasters has been foreseen. Particular attention has been paid to the gym that will undergo a total reconstruction to adapt it both to school and extra-school activity needs, as it is currently used as district sports facility.
