Municipal Offices in San Severo, Italy
Delocalization of municipal offices for the mitigation of the noise impact in the city centre
CLIENT: City of San Severo
VALUE: € 480,000.00
The intervention involves the construction of a small building of offices to be built at the corner between Via Martiri di Cefalonia and Via Giovanni Gentile, with a basal perimeter of 15.74 m x 13.50 m.
The building foresees a basement floor of about 170 square meters, a ground floor, a first floor, both with an area of 150 square meters and a second floor of about 190 square meters. The second floor is protruding compared to the other two and determines, on the main façade, a dual height arcade alternated by a three column-pillar system of 50 m of diameter.
The building bearing structure is made up of reinforced concrete beams and pillars, with plinth foundations and clay-cement mix slabs. On the basement floor the control of the soil is guaranteed by a reinforced concrete wall that runs along the entire building.
The external bardage is made with a masonry cavity wall with external thermal blocks and internal covering made of perforated bricks, among which there is an air space with an interposed layer of thermal-acoustic insulator made with environmental friendly material. The entire building is externally covered with 2cm-thick Stone of Apricena in the “bronzetto” and “biancone” varieties, which will be placed at alternated layers during the works.
