Bandar Es Salaam International Airport, Union of Comoros
New Runway, Taxiways, Aprons and Terminal building
CLIENT: SCF MIDDLE EAST
VALUE: € 80,000,000.00
The new Bandar es Salaam international Airport is part of a vaster development programme for Comoros, based on five major components: maritime transport, aviation, physical infrastructures, social infrastructures and hospitality.
The existing Mohéli airport is to be entirely revamped. The runway will be extended to 3,000 m and new taxiways, aprons and a terminal building will be constructed. In addition, a free zone and a business park are planned adjacent to the airport. The business park will include an office building with a sales centre and a hotel with conference facilities. The necessary utilities and roads will be constructed in the free zone to allow investors to construct their buildings quickly.
