3TI has developed many projects in the field of roads engineering, on behalf of public administrations and large private companies (both Italian and foreign). Services provided cover all related aspects including the design of bridges and viaducts, tunnels, culverts, pedestrian areas, paving, signage, and lighting, with the aims of reducing traffic congestion and minimizing environmental impact.
Other than designing new roadways, works undertaken include the complex tasks related to converting and upgrading existing infrastructure, as well as the maintenance of connected structures.
Our objective is to provide safer roads taking advantage of available technologies, in the belief that improved viability – whether through the integration of new roads with existing ones, or entirely new construction – greatly enhances the development of an area by increasing value, improving accessibility and enabling exchange, with significant repercussions in all fields.
The definition of the identified interventions is carried out taking into account the objects of requalification of the territory as far as mobility is concerned, as binder of the urban fabric. Sometimes it appears important to repair the settlements, divided by existing infrastructural barriers, the effort to perform new interventions such as railway underpasses, new vehicular and bicycle bridges, recovering the cross-cutting function of the road in a urban, commercial, residential or tourist connotation.
The criteria that guide 3TI in the drafting of transport evaluations and traffic plans can be synthetically found in the design of interventions conceived in a global logic of the mobility system, of the environment and urban planning, with a particular attention paid to the coordination with the existing plans that govern the system itself; in the combined use of measures apt to improve the transportation offer and measures focused on the control and orientation of the mobility demand.
