How can engineering drive greater resilience and sustainability for the future?
Climate change and emerging threats to European infrastructure are redefining the challenges facing the engineering sector. In this evolving context, consulting engineering is central to delivering safe, future-ready infrastructure while supporting a collective effort towards greater resilience, competitiveness, and long-term sustainability.
This shared vision was at the heart of the EFCA GAM & Conference 2026, held in Istanbul on 4–5 June and hosted by TürkMMMB (ATCEA). The event brought together the European consulting engineering community to exchange ideas, share knowledge, and strengthen international cooperation, with Michele Amerio, Senior Partner & Director of the Infrastructure & Energy Division, and Maria Scala, Partner & Director of Sustainable Development, representing 3TI PROGETTI and taking part in the conference dialogue.
A special congratulations to this year’s EFCA Future Leaders: Aida Santos, Vittorio Nascetti, Erdem Tiryaki, Davide Felloni, Oleksii Sokhatskyi, Aisling Hahessy, and Anastasiia Evstratova. Their achievements remind us that the future of our profession depends on empowering brilliant minds capable of turning today’s challenges into tomorrow’s opportunities.
