At CERN in Meyrin, 3TI Progetti continues its on-site activities for the ISOLDE project
On site at CERN to follow the progress of the project ongoing works for the new ISOLDE experiment underground facility within one of Europe’s most advanced research environments. The site visit provided a direct overview on the ongoing excavation progress and on the constraints the project is subject to.
3TI Progetti is involved in the design and works supervision of the civil works of a two-storey underground building and connected technical galleries. The intervention is part of a broader programme aimed at replacing the existing infrastructure with a new facility designed to improve durability, performance and maintenance accessibility.
The new building, covering approximately 500 square metres, will support isotope production for research in physics and nuclear medicine, contributing to applications such as cancer treatment.
We will keep you updated on the progress of the activities.
