Levante Waterfront – Genoa, Italy

Levante Waterfront – Genoa, Italy

Our “Design Stories” series continues with the urban renewal of Genoa. The Levante Waterfront is a large-scale, complex intervention developed as a part of the Urban Operational Project (PUO), based on the masterplan by Renzo Piano.

The project combines engineering precision and urban vision, integrating waterways, bridges, road systems and public realm enhancements into a cohesive waterfront district.

3TI Progetti led the preliminary and final design phases, geological studies, and health & safety coordination during design, the redevelopment of the underside of the Aldo Moro overpass, the restoration of historic seafront walls, the demolition of obsolete buildings, and the overall improvement of the area’s mobility, contributing to a transformation that blends infrastructure, mobility and landscape into a unified system.
