23 Railway Hubs in Northern Italy
Upgrading existing railway assets while preserving their value and ensuring operational continuity.
3TI is continuing its work under an @rfi_reteferroviariaitaliana Framework Agreement, delivering the detailed design for the structural rehabilitation and functional upgrading of key railway buildings across Liguria, Piemonte, and Lombardia.
The project addresses critical issues such as structural degradation and compliance with current safety regulations, while ensuring full continuity of railway services. At the same time, it highlights the strategic importance of investing in the renewal of existing railway assets—enhancing performance, extending service life, and preserving infrastructure that plays a fundamental role in regional mobility.
🔧 Key engineering focus areas:
• Heritage engineering – interventions on protected buildings (1850–1920), balancing preservation with performance and compliance
• Safety & site logistics – managing risks and activity interference within active railway environments
Working on existing infrastructure means combining technical expertise with a deep understanding of context, constraints, and long-term value.
