Oradea Hospital: managing healthcare complexity on site

The September issue of Progettare per la Sanità (Build News) looks at this crucial transition through the new Oradea Hospital for Infectious Diseases and Pneumology.

Approximately 50,000 sqm and up to 326 beds, the new facility is designed to bring clinical, diagnostic and care functions together, with particular attention to the separation of flows, flexibility of spaces and infection control.

The article shifts the focus to the construction phase, where coordination, compliance checks and continuous quality control are essential to ensure that design principles are consistently translated into the built facility.

But what does it take, on site, to coordinate separate epidemiological flows, highly specialised spaces and integrated building systems within a single healthcare facility?

In Oradea, 3TI Progetti is involved in Construction Supervision together with IECM and ETS, with activities including coordination among the parties involved, compliance checks and systematic quality control during execution. The objective is to maintain continuity between the design principles and their implementation on site, particularly in areas where flows, infection control, spatial flexibility and system reliability directly affect the future operation of the hospital.
