A4 Milano-Venezia Motorway / 3dr Lane Quarto-S. Donà
The enlargement of the A4 Motorway through the third lane from Quarto d’Altino (pk km 10+950) to San Donà di Piave (pk km 29+500) includes the elimination of Quarto d’Altino junction by demolishing the interchange overpass, to be replaced by a new toll booth planned as part of the Passante di Mestre by-pass; the redevelopment of the area at the current toll collection barrier of Venezia East-Roncade and the construction of acceleration and deceleration lanes at the new Meolo junction (not in this contract).
Along the highway, numerous infrastructures are planned, including 8 overpasses, 4 underpasses, and 5 bridges to be demolished and rebuilt.
The bridge over the Piave River has been designed to accommodate a future expansion to four lanes of the highway and features a mixed steel-concrete structure. It consists of 9 spans with a total length of 674.5 meters.
