Extension of Bucharest Metro Line 5

The project of the extension of Bucharest Metro Line 5 (Drumul Taberei – Pantelimon) from Eroilor to Piata Iancului stations consists in a new section of the line stretches for 5,2 km double TBM tunnels with inner diameter of 5,7 m.

The metro Line will include 6 cut&cover stations executed with the top-down method (Facultatea de Drept, Cișmigiu, Universitate, Calea Moșilor, Traian, Piața Iancului) and 7 interstations (Eroilor PS Operă – Facultatea de Drept, Facultatea de Drept – Cișmigiu, Cișmigiu – Universitate , Universitate – Calea Moșilor, Calea Moșilor – Traian, Traian – Piața Iancului, Piața Iancului – Victor Manu) characterized by twin circular tunnels with average about 830m.

The scope of work deals with all the disciplines from civil works (including track alignment, tunneling, structural, MEPF, signalling and telecommunication) to architectural components.
