The 15th story involves Livia Capobianchi, 3TI Senior Engineer and Contract Manager, and her first relevant experience on Muscat International Airport project:
“Oman is a country of strong contrasts. With exquisite preservation of traditions and a desire for emancipation, progress, approach and emulation of Western culture. Alongside oases that preserve tradition, with villages inland and on the coasts where daily habits have not changed so much, symbols of the quest for modernity arise: skyscrapers, shopping centers, luxurious hotels. Also contradictory is the welcome that, behind an apparent diffidence, hides an admiration for the values of Western culture: a working woman is not unusual, less usual is to find her in fields such as engineering. However, even from this point of view, a less rigid attitude and being open minded to new possibilities is gaining ground.”
