Consolidation and securing of the geological instability

3TI Progetti, in JV with I.G.&P. Ingegneri Guadagnuolo & Partners S.r.l. and ORION Progetti, has received the approval of the technical and economic feasibility project for the consolidation and securing of the geological instability of lot n. 6 by the Government Commissioner for the fight against hydrogeological damage in the Regione Puglia.

The goal of the project is to remove, through an intervention of hydraulic arrangement of the territory, the reason of the hydrogeological risk induced by the rainwater in the underlying basin. This aim is achieved through the technical adjustment of the absorption capacity of the endoreic water basin, so as to guarantee permeability levels capable of disposing of rainfall with high return times, as provided for by the N.T.A.

The targeted project features are the following:
1. to realize a delivery tank close to the endorheic basin equipped with anhydrous wells and sized for 200-year turnaround times;
2. to regulate the water flowing into the discharge basin by means of a series of underground pipelines and collection systems.
In carrying out the project, plans have been drawn up to mitigate the impact of the project on the environment, since the area involved is part of the “Le Cesine”, a National Nature Reserve which represents one of the last marshy areas that in the past stretched from #Otranto to #Brindisi.
