Digitize, Digitalization and Digital Transformation in the architecture and engineering industry

On April 27, Alfredo Ingletti, Vice President of OICE, President of FIDIC and Chairman of 3TI, took part as a speaker in the second meeting of the cycle dedicated to “The New Public Contracts Code after the Corrective Decree”, organised by @architettiroma.

Within the panel on digital information management in construction, his contribution focused on the evolution from the digitization of individual activities to the digitalization of processes, up to the broader transformation of organisational systems.

The discussion highlighted the growing role of data, the increasing complexity of information management and the impact of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, in supporting more efficient and integrated workflows.

Particular attention was given to the implications of this transition for the engineering and construction sector, where technological development is progressively reshaping processes and operational models.
