Iasi Airport updates
“Iasi provides the second largest airport in Romania, a new infrastructure which is ten times bigger than the T3 terminal and will be able to handle no less than 3.5 million passengers. This airport serves not only Iasi or our county, but also the entire region of Moldova, as well as the residents or Romanians of the Republic of Moldova, because today, until we get a State Highway, the A8, to connect us to the west of the country and to Western Europe, Iasi Airport is our air highway. Statistics show us that one job created at the airport generates ten more jobs in the community. I am sure that jobs will be created in hotels, in the hospitality sector in Iasi” explained Iasi County Council President Costel Alexe.
