Mara Franchi – EFCA Future Leaders Competition 2025 Winner!

Proud to celebrate Mara Franchi – 3TI Partner & Engineer and Project Coordinator of the Infrastructure and Energy Division – who has been awarded in the “Climate and Biodiversity” category of the EFCA – European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations Future Leaders’ Competition for her outstanding contribution to the Po River Renaturation project, on May 16 in Luxembourg.

This international project, promoted by AIPO – Interregional Agency for the Po River, focuses on restoring natural habitats and improving hydraulic resilience along the Po River basin. Through innovative ecological engineering, this initiative enhances biodiversity, mitigates flood risks and strengthens the environmental integrity of one of Italy’s most important waterways. The ongoing five interventions included lowering hydraulic groins to reactivate oxbows, reforesting and restoring over 650 ha, removing invasive species from more than 220 ha and planting over 1 million native trees.

We are honoured to see Mara’s dedication recognised internationally since this European competition aims to highlight the next generation of talented professionals, promoting the many opportunities that inspire young engineers to build meaningful and impactful careers in our industry!
