News from Genoa / Corvetto

SARA DI POMPEO, 3TI Partner & Senior Engineer-Project Coordinator, recently went to Genoa to oversee the Corvetto project during the second visit of the static and technical-administrative testing commission. Throughout the visit, the acceptance tests for the tie rods were carried out, as required by regulations, within a designated area of one of the already excavated shafts.
3TI Progetti is in charge of the detailed design and health & safety management. The project aims at completing and extending the underground structures of Corvetto station, located beneath Parco dell’Acquasola, by constructing new connections, escalators, and deep distribution and emergency exit tunnels.
During the excavation of Shaft 1, an important archaeological find was uncovered: an ancient road, a historical testimony to the city’s past. This discovery further enhances the value of a project that integrates mobility, urban redevelopment and the preservation of Genoa’s cultural heritage.
