EuroMediterranean Water Forum 2026

EuroMediterranean Water Forum 2026

Water resilience requires an integrated vision.

This was one of the key perspectives emerging from the One Water EuroMediterranean Water Forum 2026, where water security, climate resilience, infrastructure investment and environmental protection were discussed as increasingly interconnected challenges.

The Forum highlighted a fundamental principle: water is a shared resource, and its protection and management require shared responsibility. Addressing these challenges means bringing together different expertise and perspectives to develop solutions that respond to the needs of territories and communities in the long term.

“Water resilience is not only about water infrastructure. It is about how infrastructure, territories and natural systems work together. It requires an integrated vision, capable of connecting infrastructure, territories and long-term planning” highlighted Andrea Piacenti, Senior Partner and Director of Infrastructure & Energy at 3TI Progetti.

Ensuring the resilience of our water systems will require cooperation across disciplines, sectors and territories, turning shared knowledge into concrete action.

Our thanks to OICE and the One Water EuroMediterranean Water Forum for creating a space for dialogue around a resource shared by all.
