Advancing Research Excellence: The New Engineering Hub in Perugia
The Università degli Studi di Perugia’s new laboratory complex for the Departments of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Engineering is a strategic project designed to drive academic innovation. The hub combines high-tech infrastructure with advanced structural engineering and functional research spaces. 3TI managed Works Supervision and Health & Safety Coordination during construction, ensuring full compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
This laboratory represents a key institutional reference in seismic research.
It will enable:
– Full-scale testing of structures for seismic engineering, including building sections with innovative earthquake-resistant technologies.
– Full-scale testing of bridge beams under vertical loads and experiments on other structural elements.
– Research on detecting defects and damage in bridge components.
Development of advanced reinforcement and construction techniques.
This project strengthens the synergy between academic research and infrastructure development, enhancing the University’s capacity for technical experimentation and environmental studies.
