The Po River Renaturation Programme: completed works and project management
Restoring ecological functionality along the Po River means working on one of Italy’s most complex and strategic river landscapes, where engineering, environment and territory need to move together.
The completion of the interventions within the Po River Renaturation Programme marks an important step in a wider process of ecological restoration, biodiversity enhancement and climate resilience.
For 3TI Progetti, this milestone reflects the value of managing a complex, multidisciplinary challenge. Mara Franchi, Partner at 3TI Progetti, attended the AIPo event held on June 19 in Parma, where the completed works were presented. She coordinated the project for 3TI Progetti, overseeing the development of the design activities and leading the JV composed of 3TI Progetti, @_ingena , Hydro Nova, Studio Zanzucchi, @land_landscape , Tecnovia Srl, Engeo Srl and @hydro.ingenieure.umwelttechnik .
Developed under the PNRR and Next Generation EU framework, the programme aims to reduce river artificiality, reconnect floodplain areas and strengthen the environmental resilience of the Po River corridor.
A concrete result for one of Europe’s most significant river restoration initiatives.
