International Henri Coanda “Otopeni” Airport

3TI Progetti and SC ADURO IMPEX SRL joint venture has been appointed by The National Bucharest Airports Company to provide the technical expertise and feasibility study for the Romanian busiest international Airport Henri Coanda ‘Otopeni’.

Ranked in the European airports with highest air traffic The activities involved detailed design for the modernization of runway 08L-26R (road structure, marking lighting and drainage system), including technical assistance from the designer and execution of works for the safety zone at the landing runway no. 2 (08L-26R) and at the N, V, W, O treads at AIHCB according to the specifications.

The modernization works on track 08L-26R were carried out in 3 phases:
Phase 1 – execution of works on the first section of the runway on approximately 950 m from the runway threshold 08L regarding to road structures, marking lighting and drainage system;
Phase 2 – works on second section, the middle of the runway, regarding to road structures, markings, lighting and drainage system;
Phase 3 – execution of works on third section of the runway on a length of about 1,090 m regarding to road structures, markings, lighting and drainage system.growth, the assignment has been commissioned to achieve the investment “Systematization of the AIHCB’s airside infrastructures in order to increase operational capacity and compliance with R139/2014 “.
