New school complex “Andrea Bacci”

New school complex “Andrea Bacci”

The intervention concerns the demolition and reconstruction, in situ, of the School Complex named ‘Andrea Bacci’, home of the ‘G. Mazzoni’ Primary School and the ‘A. Bacci’ Secondary School. The project aims at the realization of a school able to offer flexible spaces suited to the needs of modern education and a building that is
solid and safe from a structural point of view and highly performing in terms of energy, characterized by a reduced primary energy requirement and very efficient plant engineering solutions.
The innovative and strategic building, in addition to hosting educational activities, also houses a Civic Centre, used for extracurricular activities, and aims at the redevelopment and environmental improvement of the territorial and urban context in which it is located.
NZEB Building: the energy performance of the building is at least 20% lower than the threshold set for Nearly Zero-Energy Building requirements.
