Tallin Hospital
The new hospital of Tallin is a model of sustainability building and stands as a modern and energy efficient healthcare infrastructure.
The project includes the new hospital building, a staff and visitors parking area with 1,900 car parks, a heliport on the roof, a road system and outdoor open spaces: playgrounds, common urban gardens, kiosks, bicycle parking. The medical facility will be composed of a basement, a ground floor and seven different level floors.
The concept for the building aims to create a connection between the architectural structure and the surrounding environment and allow greater entry of natural light.
The building is made up of three main layers: The lower consists of two functional blocks, the central one is the so-called intermediate filter with a giardino roof and the highest are the lanes. Between the two lower block there is a four-story public corridor with a full-height skylight, which gives natural light to whole hospital.
