“Vega Ground Segment”

3TI was awarded a framework contract for design activities related to the compliance of the design of civil works for the “Vega Ground Segment” of the European Space Centre in Kourou (French Guiana). The services of detailed design review initial activity involved the structural testing of the existing Vega Ground Segment, to ensure its ability to support the overhead load of the Vega crane. Other interventions were provided for the same scope, including metal and reinforced concrete stairwells, masonry structures, fire protection systems, plumbing and the modernisation of washroom facilities.
