India is redefining the future of rail and urban mobility

From 22 to 24 July, Pier Paolo Martini, Partner and Director of Pacific at 3TI Progetti, attended the 7th Rail & Metro Technology Conclave & Expo 2026 in New Delhi, joining institutions, operators and industry leaders to discuss the technologies and infrastructure shaping the next generation of transport networks.

Supported by Indian Railways and the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises of the Government of India, the event explored the key trends driving the evolution of the rail sector, including metro systems, high-speed rail, freight corridors, signalling, electrification, automation, artificial intelligence and digitalisation.

As India continues to accelerate investment in transport infrastructure, events such as RMT provide valuable opportunities to exchange technical expertise, strengthen international partnerships and gain deeper insights into the priorities shaping one of the world’s fastest-growing mobility markets.
