Revitalising Parco Cardinale Eugène Tisserant: works in progress to bring new life to the park

Revitalising Parco Cardinale Eugène Tisserant: works in progress to bring new life to the park

Following last year’s approval, the detailed design has entered the construction phase. The project, part of the 2025 Jubilee program, will transform the park into a renewed green hub for the local community, with improved accessibility, safety and sustainability.

Located near the Parco di Veio natural reserve and surrounded by a valuable landscape, the park spans approx. 16,150 sqm, offering a unique natural setting between agricultural and urban areas.
The intervention enhances the park’s usability and environmental quality, while preserving its natural character and improving public spaces for the community.

The project includes:
• redevelopment of pathways in permeable stabilised earth
• two new age-segmented playgrounds
• four outdoor fitness areas along scenic walking paths
• careful maintenance and enhancement of the existing greenery
• new dedicated plantings with selected species to improve biodiversity

A community-oriented project that blends landscape preservation, sustainability and improved public space, contributing to a welcoming and renewed Rome ahead of Jubilee 2025.
