Corvetto underground station in Genoa

We are pleased to announce that the City of Genoa has approved the detailed design for the completion of the #Corvetto underground station in #Genoa.
The station, located underneath one of the city’s main historical green lungs, the Acquasola Park (1825), has never been completed by the municipal administration, which decided in 2011 to arrange a bypass in order to complete the intervention.
It is now planned to extend and complete the underground structures allowing its opening to the public. This includes underground construction works:
1- the extension of the transverse bypass tunnel;
2- the construction of 4 escalators for mobile and fixed staircases and 3 deep shafts (28m) to complete the station’s distribution and emergency exit parts.
The project also includes the important redevelopment of the Acquasola Park and the restoration of the monumental Palazzo Albini (1950), the station’s future entrance.
