New Motorway A7 Ploiesti – Buzau, Lot 1:  Dumbrava-Mizil km 0+000 – km 21+000

The Ploiesti – Buzau motorway is part of the Corridor 3 – Bucharest – NE Region (Moldova) (OR3) and represents a top priority at national level, as it results from the analysis with the National Transport Model, the development of road infrastructure through the construction of a motorway along this corridor will increase road traffic by generating new trips and attracting new investments in urban areas. The corridor facilitates access to the tourist area of Neamt or the north of Moldova, assuring a direct connection from Bucharest.

The project of road category I, complies with the European functional classification ERSO, as an Uninterrupted Traffic Flow Road. The project includes facilities and equipment to ensure these functionalities, for high traffic speeds and a higher level of safety and comfort. The project has a positive socio-economic impact through:

– increasing accessibility;

– reducing vehicle operating costs;

– reducing travel time;

– increased safety and therefore a reduction in the number of accidents;

– reduction of environmental pollution when crossing towns, by reducing traffic on existing roads.

Specifically, the project consists of 21 km of stretch, including 15 bridges/viaducts, 2 junctions and 1 maintenance center.
