Supervision of design and construction works for “Electrification and rehabilitation of the railway line Cluj Napoca – Oradea – Episcopia Bihor” – Lot 2: Aghires — Poieni

The project is part of the investment “Railway line Cluj-Napoca – Oradea – Episcopia Bihor renovation” financed by PNRR funds, being also included in the Investment Plan for the development of railway infrastructure for the period 2020 – 2030. 3TI Progetti is in charge of works supervision of the railway section LOT 2 Aghires > Poieni km 531+160 – km 567+690.
The biggest goals that will be pursued are to:

– improve the infrastructure in order to increase the speed of traffic to between 120 km/h and 160 km/h on the whole section;

– upgrading the electrification installations along the entire length of the section (25 kV);

– increasing transit capacity;

– ensuring interoperability through the implementation of TSIs, in particular as regards axle load (22.5 t), loading gauge (C), length of lines in stations and stops, facilities for disabled people;

– the modernization of the stations (by stations also means movement stops) on this line improving conditions for rail users;

– replacement of bridges, bridges, repair of drainage system, improvement of embankments;

– construction of maintenance roads along the railway (where public roads are not available);

– rehabilitation/modernizations of passenger station buildings, including construction of footbridges and raising the level of platforms in accordance with current European standards;

– installation of sound absorbing panels and/or alternative noise reduction solutions;

– new electronic control installations in stations and introduction of ERTMS safety system (ETOS level 2 + GSM-R);

– upgrading of telecommunications equipment.

– improving travel conditions and traffic safety while managing environmental impact in line with European standards.
